Ever thought about how sometimes the longest journeys aren’t physical trips but spiritual odysseys that happen in your own mind? Today I’m diving deep into my furthest trip from “home,” and guess what, it didn’t require a plane ticket, luggage, or a travel itinerary. Instead, it involved introspection, soul-searching, and believe it or not, artificial intelligence. Yes, you read that right. Let me explain.

Venturing Into The Spiritual Realm: The Setup

To make this analogy resonate, let’s compare the spiritual realm to the intricate networks of AI, specifically neural networks. These networks process information, identify patterns, and evolve, much like how our understanding of ourselves and the world deepens over time. In this case, my spiritual journey was like training an AI model from scratch—fraught with uncertainty, teeming with variables, and ripe for transformation.

Debugging the Soul: The Learning Algorithm

Spiritual journeys often entail clearing out mental clutter, challenging ingrained beliefs, and arriving at new understandings—similar to debugging a convoluted code. In this spiritual-AI parallel, imagine ‘meditation’ as the algorithm that’s helping to optimize your life ‘code.’ With every meditation session, it’s like you’re running another training loop, tweaking the hyperparameters of your consciousness to get to a more balanced, peaceful state.

Similarly, when training an AI model, you need a dataset and a set of queries it needs to solve for.
